Event Planner

Do you have experience in planning, producing and executing successful business/social events? The Minority Chamber of Commerce is seeking a talented individual to fill the Event Planner position (unpaid internship). The Event Planner will have 3-5 years of experience in event management/production. The Event Planner is responsible for executing all aspects of the planning process for all Minority Chamber of Commerce events.

Education: Bachelors


  • Strong event management background and experience. Solid project and time management skills. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Initiative: Must be able to work independently, with limited supervision, as well as form and lead a group of support staff
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to learn new technology
  • Ability to express yourself well by writing and speaking on the personal level and in front of public.

Member Relations Coordinator

Do you have a talent for communicating effectively in the business industry? Are you a great troubleshooter and problem solver? The Minority Chamber of Commerce currently seeks motivated professionals to become part of the Member Relations Department! The Member Relations Department is responsible for handling the essential aspects of the Chamber which include seeking new members, establishing communications with potential members or sponsors, establishing communications with current and past members, ensuring memberships are renewed every year.

  • Education: High School


  • Strong communication skills
  • Self Motivated, business oriented, goal oriented
  • Experience with Windows PC
