Minority Chamber Recognizes School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho with
Medal of Honor at Public Services Outstanding Leaders Award Luncheon

Miami, July 27, 2017—The Minority Chamber of Commerce (MCC) honors Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alberto M. Carvalho with its Medal of Honor at its Public Services Outstanding Leaders Award Luncheon, July 31. MCC presents its nationally recognized award in honor of the Superintendent’s leadership in education, 12-2 p.m., at the World Trade Center of Minority Chamber of Commerce at 1951 NW 7th Ave., Miami, Florida 33136. The event is not open to the public.
“Superintendent Carvalho’s exemplary leadership over the last seven years has greatly expanded opportunities for students by fostering the highest standards in educational programs and opportunities,” said MCC President Doug Mayorga. “His support for all of the society of Miami-Dade County and the entire region has brought new direction, innovation access, and greater partnership between our public schools and the community.”
The Minority Chamber of Commerce Medal of Honor in the Public Service Outstanding Leaders Award is presented in recognition of outstanding local public service officials and for economic leadership in Miami Dade County.
