Middle East Opportunity Corridor — U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

U.S. MINORITY CHAMBER OPENS THE DOOR TO MIDDLE EASTERN CAPITAL ACROSS THE AMERICAS

New “Middle East Opportunity Corridor” seeks to connect Arab investors, global companies and financial institutions with business opportunities throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean

WASHINGTON, D.C. — October 25, 2026 — The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce is opening a new international economic corridor aimed at connecting Middle Eastern capital, investors, companies and financial institutions with investment, trade and development opportunities throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The initiative, officially described by the Chamber as the “Middle East Opportunity Corridor,” represents a new chapter in the organization’s 27-year effort to internationalize minority-owned American businesses while creating new channels for foreign investment and commercial cooperation across the Western Hemisphere.

“We are opening the door to a new world of opportunity. The Middle East represents an extraordinary potential partner for the Americas, and we want to build the bridge that connects these markets through investment, trade, financing, technology, food, infrastructure and strategic partnerships,” said Doug Mayorga, President and CEO of the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce.

Mayorga acknowledged that building stronger economic relationships between the Middle East and the Americas will require understanding different cultures, business practices, government structures and market dynamics.

“This is a tremendous challenge, but also a historic opportunity. Distance should not prevent nations and businesses from discovering what they can accomplish together. Our mission is to create the relationships, platforms and business channels necessary to make those opportunities possible,” Mayorga said.

FROM WASHINGTON TO THE MIDDLE EAST — AND FROM THE MIDDLE EAST TO THE AMERICAS

The Chamber is preparing a series of meetings in Washington, D.C., with Middle Eastern public and private-sector leaders to discuss the framework of the new initiative.

Among the areas expected to be explored are:

  • Foreign direct investment and project financing;
  • Food and agricultural trade;
  • Infrastructure and development projects;
  • Technology and innovation;
  • Manufacturing and supply chains;
  • Tourism and hospitality;
  • Business relocation and market entry;
  • Strategic partnerships between American and Middle Eastern companies; and
  • Investment opportunities throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Chamber intends to serve as a private-sector bridge for companies and investors seeking access to markets in the Americas, while helping American minority businesses explore new international commercial opportunities.

MIDDLE EASTERN DELEGATION EXPECTED AT CEO SUMMIT MIAMI

The Chamber is also taking steps to encourage a significant delegation of Middle Eastern investors, CEOs and business leaders to participate in its upcoming CEO Summit Miami, December 3–5, 2026.

The summit is expected to bring together CEOs, investors and business leaders from multiple countries and provide a platform for direct conversations regarding investment, trade and international partnerships.

For the Chamber, the objective goes beyond a single conference.

The goal is to establish relationships that continue long after the event concludes.

“We want Miami to become one of the meeting points where the Middle East and the Americas can discover each other economically,” Mayorga said.

A NEW GLOBAL DIRECTION FOR THE CHAMBER

Founded 27 years ago, the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce is a private institution focused on the economic development, internationalization and global expansion of minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

With a network extending throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Chamber is positioning itself as a platform for companies seeking to enter, invest, trade, establish operations or relocate within the Americas.

The Middle East initiative expands that vision by inviting international companies and capital to participate in the economic potential of the Western Hemisphere.

“We are not simply looking for investment. We are looking for partnerships, trust and long-term economic relationships that can create jobs, strengthen communities and generate prosperity on both sides of the world,” Mayorga said.

“WE ARE THE POWERFUL U.S. PRIVATE SECTOR”

The Chamber’s new international campaign will operate under a simple message:

“We are the powerful U.S. private sector.”

The organization believes that American minority businesses, Middle Eastern investors and companies from Latin America and the Caribbean can become powerful partners in building a more connected global economy.
