U.S. MINORITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HONOR SIR DAVID BECKHAM AND LIONEL MESSI

Recognizing Two Global Leaders Who Have Helped Transform Miami Into a Global Soccer and Business Destination

U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce announcement honoring Sir David Beckham and Lionel Messi

The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce proudly congratulates our friend and valued Chamber member for his extraordinary work and leadership within Inter Miami CF, helping position the Club at the forefront of Major League Soccer and contributing to Miami's growing importance as a global center for sports, business and international investment.

Under the entrepreneurial vision of Jorge Mas, José Mas and Sir David Beckham, and with Lionel Messi as the Club's captain and global icon, Inter Miami has entered an extraordinary chapter in American soccer.

Messi's arrival in Miami transformed the international profile of the Club, while the leadership and vision of its ownership have helped build a broader platform connecting soccer, entertainment, business and the community. Inter Miami has continued to achieve historic milestones, including its first MLS Cup in 2025 and the 2026 Campeones Cup. Messi has also reached 100 goals for Inter Miami and remains under contract with the Club through the 2028 MLS season.

THE HIGHEST HONOR OF THE U.S. MINORITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

In recognition of their extraordinary achievements, global leadership and contribution to the international image of the United States, the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Sir David Beckham and Lionel Messi will each receive the Chamber's highest honor.

The recognition will take place on December 4, 2026, as part of the activities surrounding the 28th CEO Summit of the Americas 2026, at the elegant Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel.

This distinction recognizes their remarkable careers, their international leadership and the example they represent for millions of people around the world.

For the Chamber, their stories demonstrate something deeply important about the American experience: in the United States, dreams can become achievements, and achievement can become a platform for global leadership.

"Sir David Beckham's journey from international soccer legend to entrepreneur, investor and owner of a major American sports organization represents a powerful example of how vision can evolve into lasting business and community impact", say Mr. Doug Mayorga, CEO of the United States Minority Chamber of Commerce.

"Lionel Messi represents another extraordinary dimension of that story: an international athlete whose talent, discipline and accomplishments have helped inspire an entire generation and bring millions of people closer to soccer in the United States".

The Chamber believes that success is not only measured by trophies, championships or business achievements, but also by the ability to inspire others and create new opportunities for the next generation.

BUILDING BUSINESS BRIDGES WITH INTER MIAMI

The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce is also working toward establishing special benefits for its members with Inter Miami, including the possibility of providing Chamber members with a discount code of up to 35% on game tickets, subject to final approval and terms established by the Club.

Beyond the excitement of soccer, we see an opportunity to build a meaningful business relationship.

The Chamber would like to support the continued growth of Inter Miami and its major projects by connecting the Club and its partners with qualified:

  • Minority-owned construction companies
  • Contractors and subcontractors
  • Maintenance and facility-service companies
  • Food and beverage providers
  • Small and medium-sized businesses
  • Local workforce
  • International workforce resources
  • Specialized suppliers
  • Companies capable of participating in major supply chains

We would also be honored to work with the leadership of Inter Miami and the Mas family toward an institutional recognition or plaque celebrating the collaborative efforts made to connect qualified businesses, vendors, subcontractors and workforce resources with major projects.

GREAT PROJECTS REQUIRE GREAT PARTNERS

At the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce, we are proud when our members and strategic partners successfully reach their entrepreneurial and community goals.

If you are developing a major or long-term project in Miami, Florida, throughout the United States or across the Americas, consider the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce as a strategic resource for identifying businesses, suppliers and workforce capable of supporting your project.

For more than two decades, our mission has been to build bridges between American businesses and opportunities throughout the Americas.

We believe that business opportunity should create business opportunity for others.

We once again congratulate Sir David Beckham and Lionel Messi and look forward to honoring both global leaders on December 4, 2026, during the CEO Summit of the Americas 2026 in Miami.

Two extraordinary careers. Two global leaders. One powerful message:
