WASHINGTON, D.C. | AN EVENING OF FRIENDSHIP, DIPLOMACY AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES

TODAY THURSDA NOVEMBER 5, 2026

Tonight, we had the distinct honor of participating in an extraordinary celebration commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Suriname and the United States, held at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C.

It was a privilege to share this memorable occasion with ambassadors, investors, federal government officials, and distinguished presidents and executives representing some of the most important companies in the United States.

We left with much more than a wonderful experience. We gained new friendships, valuable connections, and the satisfaction of meeting distinguished individuals who share a commitment to strengthening international relations and advancing economic development throughout our region.

As we proudly say: We are here to stay in Washington, D.C., permanently!

From the nation's capital, we are committed to building bridges, opening doors, and establishing high-level relationships that create meaningful opportunities for the private sector throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce intends to be a trusted institutional partner for the region's private sector, supporting initiatives in international investment, trade, business development, and economic growth.

Tonight's gathering at the Ronald Reagan Building is part of an ongoing series of diplomatic and business engagements led by the Chamber.

Tonight was Suriname. Tomorrow, it will be Argentina. And beyond that, we will continue opening doors for our region.

On behalf of the United States Minority Chamber of Commerce, we extend our sincere gratitude for the privilege of being part of this remarkable occasion.

To everyone who welcomed us, shared their friendship, and made this evening meaningful: thank you.

Great relationships begin with a meeting, but they grow through trust, commitment, and a shared vision for the future, and congratulations to Suriname for the 50 years of relationship with the United States, and to have a great man for the History, the Honorable, Ambassador, Marlon Mohamed-Hoesein.
