U.S. Minority chamber of commerce 26th anniversary

The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce Marks Its 26th Anniversary in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, DC – July 15, 2025 – The U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a major milestone this year: 26 years of championing minority-owned businesses and fostering economic opportunities across the Americas.

The anniversary celebration in the nation’s capital will bring together influential figures from the worlds of business, politics, the arts, and government. It promises to be a gathering of leaders who have helped shape the Chamber’s journey, contributing to trade relations, investments, international cooperation, and employment initiatives both domestically and abroad.

“We’re going to pull out all the stops,” said Doug Mayorga, President and Founder of the Chamber. “This celebration will feature about twenty testimonials from friends, members, and allies who have been pillars of our organization. It’s not just a look back—it’s a declaration of the new era we are entering.”

Mayorga highlighted the Chamber’s focus on expanding its reach to elite networks in the United States and Canada. This new direction aims to diversify the Chamber’s products and services while opening offices in North American cities with the largest minority populations during the 2025–2026 period.

AI-Powered Growth

With a membership of over 39,000 associates, allies, and clients, the Chamber is embracing artificial intelligence to drive its next phase of growth. The organization plans to manage operations, programs, and member benefits with AI support, enabling a leaner staff while strengthening services for its community.

This forward-looking approach reflects the Chamber’s commitment to innovation and adaptability as it continues to build on nearly three decades of independent success.

A Legacy of Impact

Founded in 1999, the U.S. Minority Chamber of Commerce has remained an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the entrepreneurial spirit of America’s minority private sector. Its work spans trade, investment, international cooperation, workforce initiatives, and large-scale conferences.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, with additional U.S. offices in Miami and New Orleans, the Chamber also maintains seven international centers in Bogotá, Tegucigalpa, Santo Domingo, Mexico City, Montreal, Vancouver, and San José, Costa Rica.

Throughout its history, the Chamber has operated under a guiding principle rooted in Jewish ethics: “Do not do to others what you would not want done to you, and treat the laborer with dignity and fair pay.” This vision continues to drive its efforts to reduce poverty through bilateral trade, investment, and the mobilization of foreign labor forces.
