PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

World Conference on Security & Emergency Preparedness 2025 October 19 – 20, Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. September 5, 2025. The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce (USMCC) proudly announces the upcoming World Conference on Security & Emergency Preparedness 2025, taking place in Washington, D.C. on Octoberer 19 – 20, 2025.

The conference will feature six international forums and four specialized seminars on survival strategies, advanced technologies in food preservation, satellite communications, and other key tools that empower governments, businesses, and communities to reduce human and economic losses in the event of disasters.

Organized under the umbrella of U.S. National Preparedness Month, the event addresses the urgent need for awareness and readiness.

“This event is organized under September’s U.S. National Preparedness Month, where disasters can take many forms and strike at any time. As business leaders, we must recognize that disasters — whether natural events such as earthquakes or hurricanes, man-made crises, or even unexpected threats like a nuclear attack or a meteor — can disrupt our lives and economies at any time. My suggestion to every company is to take this opportunity to review your continuity plans, strengthen your resilience strategies, and prepare both your business and your employees. By doing so, you not only protect your investment but also ensure that your community can recover more quickly. Preparedness is not fear — it is foresight, and it is the smartest business decision we can make today.” — Doug Mayorga, CEO & Founder, United States Minority Chamber of Commerce
