Compassion for Our Seniors in America — DOJ funding opportunity to prevent elder abuse

The United States Minority Chamber of Commerce is announcing an important funding opportunity from the U.S. Department of Justice aimed at supporting organizations dedicated to protecting older Americans from abuse, neglect, fraud, and financial exploitation.

Sadly, thousands of vulnerable seniors across our nation experience mistreatment, theft, neglect, and abuse at the hands of family members, caregivers, and strangers. Like infants, children, and individuals with disabilities, our elderly population deserves special protection, dignity, and compassionate care.

"This initiative touched the deepest fibers of my heart. According to reports, thousands of vulnerable seniors are being mistreated, robbed, and abused. For those committing these acts, it may seem like the perfect crime because nobody is watching. But God is watching, and justice belongs to Him. The United States government is now seeking organizations willing to join this effort and help combat this terrible human tragedy. We must not remain indifferent when our seniors need us most."
